Like many high-growth venture backed technology startups, Nyansa's sales operations was like the Wild West and lacked a smooth transparent process. Prior to partnering with R/CS, the Nyansa Sales Team used a pricing spreadsheet to calculate and generate sales quotes, which created the following challenges:
R/CS understood Nyansa's core deficiencies. The team proposed a highly customized web based application built on the Salesforce platform to streamline their quote management. Such a solution ensured seamless delivery and efficiency of Nyansa's quote management process.
While keeping within the eight week timeline, R/CS was able to develop the custom quoting Salesforce application to the unique needs of Nyansa. Custom approval and notification processes were created to require manager sign off before quotes could be sent. A custom price book and complex quote rules were created, but hid the complexity from the salespeople in order to make quoting simple for the end user.
After launching the custom quoting Salesforce app, Nyansa has seen a huge reduction in time spent between sales and customer service. The new sales guidelines have reduced errors and quoting issues by salespeople. And the clarity offered by the new quoting process has made invoicing and billing a more straight forward process.
Nyansa has achieved strong adoption among its sales reps since they launched their custom quoting Salesforce. Since the sales team captures useful data, Nyansa’s management team now has information that can be used to make strategic decisions, and sales reps have the tools to turn opportunities into customers.
